Some advice from a first time blogger

Sam Elliot, in the Big Lebowski, has a great line, "Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you". That's a pretty good metaphor for life. Sometimes things go your way, and sometimes they don't. The best advice I could give, after a lifetime of ups and downs, loves and losses, hurricanes, sadness and joy, is to keep putting one foot in front of another. The one thing you can count on is change. Do your best to keep pushing ahead, and you'll find that, one day, you just might eat the bear.
